Dr. Kirk HoustonCertified Trainer

The Rev Dr. Kirk Houston, Sr. is Founder and Senior Pastor of Gethsemane Community Fellowship Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va. He has led the church from 35 to over 2,000 members.

Dr. Houston is a highly respected community leader. He is former Chairman of the Norfolk School Board, and currently serves as Chairman of the Norfolk Jail Ministry Board of Directors, Chaplain of the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office, and Chairman of the Garden of Hope Community Development Corporation.

Kirk is a US Navy Veteran of eight years. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and a Master of Divinity degree from the historic Virginia Union University in Richmond, Va. He and Sharon, his wife of many years, have two adult children and four grandchildren.
